The forestation of the Forest District Sława Śląska equals 50,8%, while country forestation rate equals - 28,8%, of Lubuskie Provincethe is - 34,6%, and finally the forestation of Regional Directorate of the Forest State in Zielona Góra amounts - 48,9%, what makes really impressive result.

According to functions the forests fulfil, we can divide them into the following:

  • managed timberland,
  • protection forest,
  • reserves.

The structure of habitat  types is very diversified in the forestation of the Forest District  Sława Śląska.  Predominating site types are: fresh coniferous forest covering over 42% of the forest wooded area, mixed fresh coniferous forest – almost 38% and mixed forest – over 10% of the forest area.
